Mercedes Command Unit ex Somerset Fire and Rescue service .This vehicle was aquired by us in August 2010. We were lucky enough to be able to purchase this directly from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service. The vehicle was driven directly out of the Somerset workshops at Chelston by ourselves with the kind permission of the Devon and Somerset chief we were allowed to keep the Somerset Fire and Rescue Service decals on the vehicle aswell as blue lights and two tones although being very faded we drove the appliance straight to the odiham fire show were we did recieve a lot of interest over the next 12 months the vehicle will be undergoing work to bring it back to show condition . This is also a working vehicle and will be used as a mobile classroom within the junior schools that we run a fire cadetship scheme to pupils with behaviour,self esteem and team player issues
