we hope you like our website which will inform you who we are and what we do. We think that fire engine preservation is a very under-estimated hobby there are hundreds if not thousands of vintage fire appliances in the uk with dedicated restorers and owners us being some of those people . In the southeast of England were the Alton Oldtimers comes from i am delighted to say we have a very strong and active branch of the Fire Service Preservation Group. Without groups like this our fire heritage would slowly dwindle into oblivion like many other vintage transport societys so we are proud of what we do and to enable some of the U.Ks fire brigade appliances from early years to be saved and restored to there former glory for everyone to see at all our local shows fetes and school events.
OUR AIM :-
Our aim as collectors is save preserve and show the appliances that we own and preserve a little part of the U.Ks fire service history to the best of our ability aswell as having fun and gaining new skills to help us do this . Restoring our appliances to how they were when in service with the information we can collect from all our valuable friends and other sources.
